    About the Role

    Our client, an rapidly growing online lender with offices in 3 states, is seeking an industrious SEO Specialist to join their team.  This role can be REMOTE, with once per month travel to Overland Park, KS required. As the SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing search engine marketing programs for company brands. The right person will be goal oriented, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have outstanding interpersonal skills. This position will involve interaction with cross-functional teams internally as well as with outside vendors, to ensure that company business objectives are achieved.




    • Define requirements, tasks, and resources associated with SEO strategy
    • Manage and execute implementation of SEO strategy
    • Communicate with vendors, team, and management on strategy/project development, timelines, and results
    • Collaborate on strategy and goal definition for success
    • Keep pace with SEO, search engine, reputation management, social media and internet marketing industry trends and development
    • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
    • Provide recommendations and execute/manage strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific
    • Help to create and support marketing content for reputation management and social media purposes (e.g. customer videos briefs, customer case studies, blog posts, posts from analysts and customers)
    • Develop and implement link building strategies
    • Develop, manage and execute communication/content strategies
    • Implement and administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, feeds, webmaster tools)
    • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings
    • Research and use reputation management tools in support of reputation management strategy
    • Research and administer social media tools in support of social media strategy
    • Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies
    • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
    • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of opportunities to meet business objectives
    • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success
    • Support the execution of tests, collection and analysis of data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
    • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
    • Provide support with overseeing campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
    • Research and analyze competitor advertising links and linking strategies
    • Engage in ongoing competitor research with respect to SEO & SEM
    • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
    • Work with internal/external content creation team and marketing team to achieve Company SEO objectives
    • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.



    • 2+ years experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
    • Thorough understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) process
    • Experience working with popular keyword tools (Google Keyword Planner, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc)
    • Experience with Wordpress is required
    • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics and Google Search Console, as well as internal reporting tools
    • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
    • Experience with bid management tools (e.g. Adwords, Bing Ads, etc.)
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
    • Experience with webmaster tools (e.g. Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, etc.)
    • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
    • Awareness of the latest trends and best practices in SEO/SEM
    • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
    • Experience working with CMS and building/administering content in multiple CMS environments
    • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration
    • Knowledge of PPC programs and optimizing data gathered from both organic and paid sources
    • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
