At SOLTECH, we work with a catered selection of incredible clients that match our integrity and standard for tech talent in order to help them grow teams that will create significant impact on Atlanta's tech community.

We're excited to present opportunities to our network to work in some incredible environments that we've vetted first-hand. Apply through SOLTECH for a catered approach to your job search, and we'll make sure you land where you will be nurtured in your career growth.

About the Company

Our client is a successful B2B company located in the heart of Midtown, Atlanta. Since their founding in 2008, they have significantly increased their sales and operations having served customers in all 50 US states (plus Puerto Rico) and have become a leader in providing waste/recycling services, mobile storage and other complimentary construction industries.

Their core business functions are currently driven by employee-facing software that through today has been built and supported by SOLTECH. However, with a rapid increase in their customer-base and resulting data challenges, the company is now ready to invest more heavily in founding an internal technology team to further enhance their core system while building new, customer facing web and mobile applications that will continue to scale their business. Therefore, this is a ground floor opportunity to pursue a highly-visible, valued and impactful role that you can take pride in as a career move.

About the Role

We're seeking a mid-to senior-level Software Engineer responsible for further developing the existing application, including anything from back-end services to their front-end counterparts. You will thrive in this environment if you see value in initially being the primary go-to person to bridge the gap between their business and technology.

This is a contract-to-hire position, so you'll need to convince us you're as interested as we are in a long term employment relationship. However, we know you'll be an awesome fit if you consider yourself a thought leader, passionate technologist, great communicator, team-player and someone who might someday have an interest in growing into a leadership position overseeing this newly formed technology team.

Day to Day

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Design logical and physical data models to drive application architecture while considering infrastructure capability and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL database schemas and scripts, including views, triggers and stored procedures
  • Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and risks to leadership team
  • Readily accept responsibility and demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment as judged by peers and management
  • Create and implement new strategies, standards and solutions around IT
  • Document IT changes for use by future engineers, quality assurance and documentation specialists
  • Perform other short-term and long-term IT related tasks and duties as assigned by management

About You

  • Motivated, passionate individual who brings strong enterprise-level application design and development experience.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, Model-View-Presenter (MVP), and SQL Server
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design experience
  • Familiarity and exposure to multiple architectural patterns
  • Capable with front end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript with exposure to modern JS frameworks and libraries
  • Able to code, test, debug and document software applications within best practices and methodologies
  • Self-starter and self-organized - able to work with little or no supervision
  • Soft Skills: An overall good communicator, highly principled person who generally likes and gets along with all people (we are looking for someone who will be open, assertive, self-aware and humble in their interactions with the team members)
  • Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience

Culture and Benefits

  • Walking distance of the Arts Center MARTA station
  • Modern executive office suite offering beautiful views of the city
  • Down-to-earth team members
  • Casual working environment
